HOLLIS 1900 col.1
Defined by a refined twill-derived weave, HOLLIS is woven from pure wool, spun in Tuscany. Subtle micro-passages within the structure create a gently interrupted stripe, giving the textile a balanced visual rhythm. Fine two-tone stripes emerge from an interplay of warp and weft, resulting in a fabric that is both graphic and understated. The hand is full, dry and compact, ideal for seating thanks to the natural resilience of wool and the inherent stability of the structure. The weave and yarn counts are drawn from, and inspired by, an old archive of striped wool weaves, preserving the integrity of traditional workmanship while translating it, through small graphic variations, into a modern textile with a more essential approach. The slow rhythm of the Italian loom and a palette grounded in classic tonalities, articulated through contrast, come together to create a fabric that speaks of tradition yet fits naturally into contemporary interiors, bringing timeless balance and a sense of Italian textile heritage to upholstery, seating, soft paneling and interior accessories.
